This is not your average raincoat made of vinyl or plastic. It’s made from the same rubber as your classic rainboot.  From a distance, it looks like any other coat, but the closer shots really show the material well. The original retail price: $3350. Ridiculous Ebay Splurge Fantasy: Dolce & Gabbana Magenta Coat

There is no other option but to be the center of attention in this Dolce & Gabbana coat. It’s a flashy magenta and gold combination with substantial crystal buttons, and of course the signature leopard print lining. This was $2995 originally, but now it’s on eBay at $1500. With the tags still attached, I wonder how long it will take for someone to buy it. The seller is also accepting offers, however, that doesn’t mean you can get it for “cheap”. I have a feeling, though, with Christmas around the corner, someone lucky will go for it.

Daily Splurge Fantasy: Vintage Miriam Haskell Bracelet

Priced on eBay at $1,999, this Miriam Haskel Bracelet is one of those miraculous vintage finds for the serious collector. With mesh spiral covered in pearls, and two massive “blooms” on each end, the effect is truly astonishing. Rare is an understatement for this piece. I’ve never seen anything like it, anywhere.  Perhaps this is the most unforgettable bracelet I’ve ever seen on eBay.

I want this Felipe Oliveira Baptista blue coat so badly, I think I’m going to explode. As if the color alone weren’t enough, the skinny lapel, cocoon shape, slanted pockets, and little silver buttons take it far beyond the norm. It’s currently priced at $295. I love you guys

As of this very minute, I am back in Miami. (As my last post explained, I am now looking for a new job, and it felt right to come back home for a while). Last night I finished all my business in NYC at the last second, with the help of Craiglist and UPS. I’m lucky to be here where it’s 90 degrees and sunny and the beaches are so calm. I’m even more lucky to have you guys as fans and reader of my blog. I want to thank all you readers who come to my site and enjoy the posts. You guys and your comments always make my day. I mean that very literally. You guys make my day. I freaking love you people. I want to thank you not only for just visiting my site and leaving amazing comments, but also for being patient with me. Thanks for sticking with me as I go through various experiences and transitions. All I know is that everything happens for a reason, and that being said, Fall is upon us, and I am 100% certain that this Fall will bring some of the most outrageously incredible eBay finds yet! Okay… so it’s been a couple weeks. I lost my job a few weeks ago, and we all know that’s common in this economy (I was working for Weddingbee.com, the top wedding blog, and I loved it). I still am not sure what exactly I’m going to do now, but I will have to at least temporarily leave NYC and head home to Miami. I’m moving back in about a week. After seeing all the eBay auctions I missed, I’ve been fantasizing about becoming a “professional eBay shopper”.  Talk about a dream job!

Armani Lace Skirt. I mean, come on, just look at it. This is AMAAAAAAAAZING. It retailed for $2695… yeah, and it sold on eBay for $249.99 with the original tags attached… yep. I want to offer mega-congrats to whoever out there won this life-altering skirt on eBay.

Someone nabbed these incredible, embroidered shearling Miu Miu boots. I envy the winner, who got these beauties for just $82.

Whiting & Davis Blue Mesh Handbag. I never imagined loving a mesh handbag until I saw this. Retailed for $300, sold for $74.99.

I also was impressed with this vintage Whiting & Davis mesh top which sold for $162.49.

Oscar de la Renta Boots. I remember seeing these in magazines years ago and being totally blown away. This pair sold for $271, another eBay victory.

Amrita Singh Necklace. Sold for just $1.34. Necklace from this line typically retail for $75 to $450.

Maybe 2 years ago, in an Anthropologie catalog, I saw this cardigan by OI Lin and gasped. I’ll call this a “statement sweater”. $213.47.

Topshop Shredded Top. $16.50.

Chaiken Dress. Sold for $26.76. A bargain on a designer dress just doesn’t get much better than this.

All the vintage jewelry lovers swarmed in on this jaw-dropping Trifari clamp bracelet, which ended $406.50.

Dolce & Gabbana Silk Coat. I can’t believe this sold for $151.

Karen Walker Dress. $96.80.

If I ever see this super sexy Gucci skirt on eBay again, I’m buying it. This one sold for $89.99.

This Dolce & Gabbana miraculously sold for just $114 despite retailing for about $1500… a bargain so hot, it hurts my brain.

Everyone wanted a piece of this 80’s sequined top, which sold for $285.

This Hanii Y cardigan/top make you looked almost layered, but without actually layering. $57.99.

Lady Gaga-Inspired Sunglasses. $70. Anyone considering dressing up as Gaga for Halloween, eBay has you covered.

Someone scored some chic Etro pants for just $19.99.

A very hot Shakuhachi mini-dress sold for $92.50.

Marni Belt. $58.

Cacharel Trench Coat. Another migraine-inducing bargain, this sold sold for a measely $30.

I LOVE this vintage enamel shield charm bracelet, and I rarely like charm bracelets. $64.

Dolce & Gabbana Tartan Bustier. Who wouldn’t want this? $157.50.

Blumarine Sequined Cardigan. $199.

Yet another lovely Dries van Noten scarf. This one sold for $46 and I’m regretting missing out. I love anything with a yellow and white print.

This stunning Alice McCall coat sold for just $70.

Karen Walker “The Outsider” Sunglasses. These are a lot of style for the money at just $33!

Etro Sweater. $63. I love it!

80’s Slouchy Oversize Coat. $105.50.

How about this SHOWSTOPPING vintage Pucci Dress?! It sold for $760 and it’s worth every dollar in fabulousness. Whoever won this dress should throw a party just to celebrate it.

Yves Saint Laurent Silver-Blue Leather Jacket. $158.50.

I fell in love with this vintage cream and tan wool hat, which sold for just $6.99.

I envy the winner of this cool and versatile Miu Miu top, which ended at just $55.02.

I really love these Marni sunglasses, and at $41, I’m hitting myself for missing this auction.

Tracy Porter Blouse. $56.

Miu Miu Heels. $90.90.

Le Sofferine Milano leather skirt. I love it. $37.50, a steal.

Lanvin for Acne Denim top. Yes, the whole top is denim. Originally this was $520 . It sold on eBay for 59.87.

Vintage Zuni Turquoise Necklace. I’d love to wear this with plain white t-shirt. $56.

Manoush Princess Dress. $61.

I’ve been wanting a leather shirt like this for a while now. Sonia Rykiel, $162.49.

This vintage locket is simply a clear, 1″ sphere, but somehow that’s what makes it extraordinary, which explains why the auction went up to $158.49.

There are always tons of vintage beaded purses on eBay, but this one steals the show. This one ended at over $600, but didn’t reach the reserve price. Maybe it will be relisted…

Fab Vintage Ebay Store: Dolly Dagger Vintage

Thank goodness for Australia. It must be something in the air over there, because I consistenly find that all the coolest clothing is coming from eBay sellers down under. Dolly Dagger Vintage is one of those stores that clearly takes the time to handpick everything so it’s all “just right”. They collect a bunch of stuff, sell it all out in a week, and then come back with another perfect crop. So keep your eye on them to catch their newest round of vintage finds. Here’s some of their recent offerings:

I just got this on ebay – Anthropologie Stormy Sea Necklace!

This is still on Anthropologie’s website right now for $48 (here). And it’s worth the price, but I got it for $30 on eBay using a gift card I’ve been holding onto! Let me tell you, I’ve seen this necklace online several times and thought it was just “nice”, but it wasn’t until I saw designer Sweet Pea wearing it on Project Runway’s All Star Challenge last week that I realized “WHOAAAAAAA I NEED THAT NECKLACE!”. I pretty much logged into eBay right away and snapped it up! The photo doesn’t do justice to it. This necklace is large and has a lot of presence. What I really like it about it that the stones are subdued without looking cheap, and the gold beads really are semi-glossy-to-matte, and the gray strand is made of jersey, which makes the necklace extremely versatile. I wasn’t the only one who noticed how great the necklace looked on Sweet Pea… I saw people twittering over it and Sweet Pea herself got so many questions about it, she had to tell everyone about the necklace on her own blog, Sweet P Vaughn. Thanks Sweet Pea for opening my eyes (and eBay for being way too convenient)!

Daily Ebay Splurge Fantasy: Rick Owens Stretch Contoured Jacket

This Rick Owens jacket takes the whole huge collar-lapel idea to a level of perfection that creates a massive impact, despite the quiet neutral color and total lack of embellishments. Notice how the sleeves are designed to look a little twisted and then gathered and the ends? What a dream. I bet there is no “wrong” way to wear this one. This jacket is currently selling on eBay at $457, ending tonight!

The Watchlist: Solid Deals

There are so many deals on cool stuff going on this week, I am totally (and happily) overwhelmed. Here’s everything that caught my eye.

Fendi Coat. This is just amazing. Ruffles, a big collar, a wide belt, and a 2-layer effect on the sleeves are incredible enough, but then they had to add the buttons detailed with an organic design and the Fendi logo in the center. Faints*. Currently $190 with just over a day remaining.

Burberry Prorsum Studded Flats. This is an amazing buy if you’re a size 36 (US 6) in shoes. I wish they were a size 8… very tempting. Currently $103 ending tonight. (P.S. you can also check out other studded Burberry shoes on eBay like these awesome studded rainboots or sandals)

BCBG “Ivanka” Colorblocked Slingbacks. This retailed for $240 and are now on sale at BCBG.com for $150, but you can get them on eBay for even less…. $20.50, ending tonight.

Dries van Noten Silk Flower Top – only $26 ending tonight (CRAZY BARGAIN!!!!). And also the Cacharel Japanese Floral Skirt, $46 ending tonight.

Crazy Bargain Alert: Cythia Vincent Boots at $27 with 2 days left. These are a 37.5 (US 7.5). If these were an 8 I would be all over this auction.

Geren Ford Silk Dress. $46, ending tonight.

Manoush Skirt. $69 with just over 2 days left.

Tory Burch Chain Necklace. Currenty $43, ending tonight.

Alice + Olivia Dress. Serious bargain potential at $9.99 with 8 days left.

Reiss Turquoise Cantabria Belt. Currently a total steal at $7.34 ending tonight!

Antik Batik Sandals. It’s rare to see an Antik Batik shoe pop up on eBay, and I’m in love with the seafoam green color of this one.$79, ending tonight.

I really like everything from Hayden Hartnett. Here is yet another bag I’m fantasizing about, at a reasonable price of $125. The reatil was $475, so this major discount.

J. Crew Gray & Neon Flats. I think I want J. Crew flats in every color combination that it possible, but this has got to be one of the best. Plus it’s a real bargain at just $33.59, ending tonight.

Tory Burch Cluthch/Wallet. I just can’t stay away from neon. $75 ending tonight. A nice deal compared to the $198 retail price.

Is there such a thing as a compact mirror that’s “too posh”? I’m not sure, but I can say that this Kenneth Jay Lane compact mirror, which retailed for over $200, is fun to look at. Maybe I wouldn’t pull it out at a baseball game, but maybe I would at a fancy dinner.

Tory Burch Fringe Necklace. This brings a whole lot of style to an outfit for the easy price of $29.

Marni Cut-Out Wedges. These are really a deal at $126 with no bidders yet and 2 days remaining.

Rick Owens Jacket. This is such an amazing work of art, it’s making me lose touch with the realities of my wallet. I am trying to pretend I don’t even know this on eBay right now. $198 with 2 days left.

Luella Striped Shirt. Currently $81.54 with 23 hours left.

Dolce & Gabbana Shift Dress. This is a rediculous steal at $26 ending tonight.

Dries van Noten Top. I love it! $99 with 9 days left.

This Cynthia Vincent Tweed Cropped Jacket is starting out at just $5 with a week remaining.

If you’re a size XS I suggest you consider this BCBG Corset, new with tags, which is about be an insane deal at just $0.99 with 2 days left.

Mint by Jodi Arnold Rope Dress. OUTRAGEOUS bargain in the making. This retailed for $425 and is currently just $2.25 with 3 days left.

Tibi Blazer. Just $29, a far cry from the original price of $420. Just over 2 days to go.

I LOVE this Ali Ro top. A few weeks ago it was selling on one the popular online sample sale sites, but it was sold out before I could get it. It’s available on ebay for $99 in sizes 2, 4, 6, and 8. Just so you know, there’s tons of Ali Ro stuff on eBay right now, most of it under $100.

Daily Ebay Splurge Fantasy: Zac Posen Jacket

This Zac Posen silk/linen hemp jacket retailed for $2200, which is clearly due to the fact that tons of work goes into making something like this. The embroidered blue-gold panels make this the special piece that it is. It’s currently $499 on eBay, so it’s yet another item I’m hoping won’t dissapear before the price is lowered.

Fellow eBay Addict Victory: Lauren got a Rozae Nichols skirt for £9.99 (about $16 USD)!!!!!

Once again a fellow eBay addict struck gold and won this amazing, brand-new Rozae Nichols skirt for just $16. YES. $16. This skirt probably retailed for at least $250, so major congrats to my overseas fan, Lauren, who loves everything vintage, and has major eBay browsing skills (which are plain to see on her blog, A Typical Atypical).
